The Learning Centre: Course Content

Peer tutors help you learn course-specific concepts with an emphasis on study skills and self-reliant learning.

Before you bring assignment questions to your session, try to do the problems by yourself. Bring specific questions to ask your tutor during your session.

More about Our Tutoring Approach

We will help you by:
  • discussing the assignment instructions to help you understand what the instructor is asking you to do
  • answering your questions about your assignment
  • asking you to explain confusing or problem parts in the assignment
  • suggesting techniques for improving your reading,  writing, and study skills
  • providing skill development exercises to help you work on weaknesses we notice in your school work

Study Groups

Study Groups are a great way to meet with your classmates to work on course content that you may need extra guidance in. You do not only learn from each other but you are also preparing for upcoming tests and exams.

Fall 2017

We do not have any study groups scheduled for Fall 2017.  Are you interested in attending one?  Contact us to let us know, and if we have the resources, we'll start one.

Check our current schedule to see what courses are currently available.

Don't see your course listed?
You can still book a Consultation appointment for help with study skills, and other tips from experienced students.
Writing tutors can help with writing assignments from any course.

Don't have time to make an appointment? Or not sure if you need one?
You can stop in to the Learning Centre on either campus during our open hours to talk to the peer tutor at the front desk. If they can't answer your question, they can help you find the resources you need.
