Talis Resource Lists

Set Up

To create a Talis Resource List account, visit the home page below and login with your Douglas College credentials. As a Faculty or Staff member you are automatically granted permission to be a list creator and publisher.

Steps to setting up a Talis Resource List account:

1. Set up your profile
  • Go to the Douglas College Talis Resource List homepage. Remember to bookmark the site for future use.

  • Click on Log in and login using your CNA.
2. Create a profile
  • Click on Create a Profile
  • Complete the form and set your profile to Public. This allows students and other faculty to search for your list on the library website.
  • Click Save Profile.
  • If you are asked to accept a list publisher role, click Accept.
3. Install the browser extension
  • Chrome Browser
    1. Click this link to open the Chrome extension.
    2. Click on Add to Chrome.
    3. Click Add extension.
    4. Right-click on the Talis Logo extension.
    5. Select Options and click on Douglas College.
  • Firefox
    1. Follow this link to the Firefox Add-ons menu.
    2. Search for Talis.
    3. Click on Add to Firefox and the click Add.
    4. Right-click on the Talis icon and choose Manage Extension.
    5. Go under the Choose one list and click Douglas College.
  • Safari
    1. Visit the App store from your Mac.
    2. Search for Talis Aspire.
    3. Click on Install and then Open.
    4. Enable the extension in the extension area of Safari.
    5. Right-click the Talis icon in your bookmark bar and choose Manage Extension.
    6. From the preference tab, select Douglas College from the drop down menu and save.
  • Microsoft Edge
    1. In the Edge browser go to the Chrome Web Store.
    2. Search for Talis and click on the icon and select Get.
    3. Click Allow and then Add extension.
    4. Right-click the Talis logo and choose Extension options.
    5. Choose Douglas College from the drop down menu.
