The tabs below contain links and information on the streaming video databases the Douglas College Library subscribes to. You can access videos from these databases directly through OneSearch. In OneSearch, you can refine your results to only show videos by using the 'Source Types' filter on the left hand side of the page and selecting, 'Videos'. 

Streaming resources range from documentaries to feature films, historical film collections to theatrical productions.

Streaming Platforms

Academic Video Online

Delivers more than 63,000 (and growing) scholarly videos for virtually every discipline.

Criterion on Demand

A streaming feature film collection of over 1,500 English titles, more than 1,100 French titles, over 100 documentary features, and approximately 135 foreign language films with English subtitles.

Audio Cine Films

Hundreds of popular movies and classics in multiple languages. The majority of new releases are added within 1-2 days of being released in Blu-ray and DVD

Can-Core AV 

Canadian streaming educational and documentary film collection. Includes indigenous and BC content.

Films on Demand 

A multi-disciplinary collection of over 10,000 films available in streaming format; Provides access to thousands of programs and documentaries with English and French-language content. 

Films on Demand: Veterinary Video Collection 

With more than 240 titles, the collection provides a foundation in animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior while learning basic veterinary procedures and an understanding of the workplace.

Curio.ca 

Streaming audio and video content from CBC and Radio-Canada. Provides access to thousands of programs and documentaries with English and French-language content.

NFB Campus 

Offers a range of documentaries, dramas and historical films, with a Canadian emphasis. Additional features include the ability to create personal play lists and access to study guides.

Kanopy 

Streaming video collection which includes thousands of award-winning documentaries, training films and theatrical releases.

Psychotherapy.net 

Streaming videos for teaching and training in psychotherapy, psychology and addictions. The majority of the videos show therapists conducting therapy and demonstrating clinical skills, along with pre and post session discussions.

Sage Video

Offers information in many areas of academic study including, business, counseling & psychotherapy, criminology, education, media, politics & international relations, psychology, sociology and research methods. 

While the Douglas College Library doesn't directly subscribe to McIntyre Media Streaming Video, you can still access videos from the collection through Films on Demand, or searching with OneSearch.

You can find McIntyre Media through OneSearch by searching "McIntyre Media Inc" and selecting 'Author' from the Select a Field drop down menu.
