APA (7th ed.) Citation Guide for Health Sciences

The Purpose of this Guide

This guide has been created as a collaboration between Douglas College Library and faculty from Health Sciences to provide help with citing common health sciences resources that may not be covered in the APA manual itself.  It is not meant to be an exhaustive guide to APA. 

For more detailed guidance on APA, including paper formatting rules, rules for additional formats and/or links to sample APA papers see one of the excellent guides below.

  • Detailed instructions on how to format the full range of "author name" possibilities, e.g., single authors, multiple authors, organization/group as author etc.
